Today’s guest grew up in the small prairie community of Speers, Episode 043Saskatchewan. He had his first taste of playing on an indoor ice surface in the town of Hafford, Saskatchewan, about 10 miles away.

A chance meeting with one of his early hockey idols, Gordie Howe, really lit a spark in Morris. He began praying for the opportunity to someday play with Gordie “And by the way God if you could through in Bobby Hull too, I’d really appreciate it.” His prayers were answered as he had the opportunity to play with both of them before his playing days were done.

In today’s episode

and some of his fondest memories of playing the greatest game on earth. He also shares the thrill of watching his daughter sing before a crowd of twenty-thousand at the Calgary Stampede.
