Today’s guest on The Heart Of The Rink Hockey Show grew up in Episode 040the farming community of Foam Lake, Saskatchewan. Just like many prairie kids, he developed his skills on the pond at the family farm.

From Foam Lake he went on to play hockey at Notre Dame before moving on to play hockey with the Prince Albert Raiders of the WHL where he won a Memorial Cup in 1985. In his last year with the Raider’s he scored 51 goals and 62 assists for a total of 113 points in just 64 games.

He got drafted by the Winnipeg Jets and in his first game for the Jets,

Another interesting fact about Pat is that he scored his NHL goal playing in Toronto on Hockey Night In Canada.
