All of us grow up with a dream of some day playing in the NHL. Episode 036We’ve all heard the stats before on just how few realize their dreams of playing at that level.

Today’s guest never gave up on his dream. At a young age he ventured from his native Nova Scotia to Brandon, Manitoba, to play goal for the hockey powerhouse the Brandon Wheat Kings.  He would become one of the top ranked goaltenders in Canadian junior hockey and get drafted by the Buffalo Sabres.

He ended starting his pro career with the Muskegon Mohawks of the IHL in 1979, and he would continue battling with various teams in both the AHL & the IHL until he got his big chance with the Los Angeles Kings in 1993. Now that’s dedication.
